Home Visitation

Bringing positive change, one family at a time

The aim is to provide support and practical services to families or individuals with a crisis. Many of the beneficiaries we helped have had a life-changing medical condition or are in a refugee situation needing support.

We work by an “adopt-a-family” concept, where we befriend the families we visit and commit ourselves to visiting them multiple times throughout the year as needed.

Our primary partner in this program is Australia Relief Mercy Services (ARMS), a initiative under Youth with a Mission (YWAM). They provide us with training for this program, and also link us with needy families/individuals to be our beneficiaries.

Homeless Outreach

Bringing awareness to the next generation and dignity to those who are destitute

http://homelesshealthcare.org.au/

Dr. Andrew Davies, director of Homeless Healthcare since it’s incorporation, runs training sessions of about 1-1.5 hours with medical students from Imagine and equips them to be outreach workers. They are then allocated to homeless drop-in centres to help out and establish relationships that improve the dignity and mental health of the homeless clients.

Recent landmarks in our partnership with Homeless Healthcare:

– Outreach worker opportunity now open beyond medical students to dental and allied health students

– 50 lives, 50 homes project (http://www.ruah.com.au/50-lives-50-homes-project-launch/)

A initiative for housing chronically street homeless people in a housing first approach and providing them with the support to keep them there.

Imagine has now also been given the opportunity to send students to be part of the after hours support service team consisting of a nurse and a case worker.

Aged Care Visitation

Bringing vitality and well-being to the elderly

We are currently partnering with Bethanie Riversea Aged care facility at Mosman Park (WA) to perform music and accompany residents from both low and high level care facilities.

Overseas Medical Trips

Bringing healthcare to impoverished communities

Imagine has sent medical students and a doctor to Siam Reap, Cambodia to conduct health clinics in poor villages. This is in partnership with Dream Centre, Siam Reap.

We are continuing to plan for further medical efforts in Cambodia, watch this space!
